Gunnar A. Beinteinsson
Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Gunnar started his pharmaceutical career at Actavis in 2004. On the global company’s Executive Board, he was Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for 7 years.
Gunnar led a team at Actavis that built Global HR practices and overall integration and led key transformation projects.
After Actavis acquired Allergan in 2015, Gunnar and a team of former colleagues from Actavis founded Xantis Pharma AG, where Gunnar served as COO for 5 years.
Gunnar’s professional carrier started in the banking sector in Iceland. After working as branch manager, he moved to consulting and stayed several years with Deloitte in Iceland as Managing Partner before joining Actavis.
Education
Gunnar holds a master’s degree in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School.
Matthias Johannessen
Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Matthias started his professional career in banking in Iceland and Copenhagen focusing on valuations, funding and credit risk management.
He joined Actavis in 2005 and worked in senior positions throughout the Group, with focus and responsibility on M&A activity in Europe, Russia and Asia. Matthias also worked on business strategy, financial analysis & modelling, buying and selling companies/entities and ultimately funding. Roles included VP Treasury & Funding and VP M&A Europe. Matthias has been involved in establishing various pharma entities; some have evolved to a global reach while others maintain their strong regional focus.
Education
Matthias holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
